HISTORY OF CHRISTIAN KEYBOARDING:  As Leanne was teaching in the private school arena; she noticed a need for Christian material for the computer courses since the onl ones were Glencoe, Century 21, and Mavis Beacon software.  Through a diligent search; there was no suitable curriculum which demonstrated proper touch-typing methods, offered MLA and APA report formatting, and had Biblical-based references and material for students to copy.  Thus, Christian Keyboarding was formed combining the elements needed to satisfy state education requirements and Biblical references for the private school requirements.

CREDENTIALS:  Leanne Beitel, who obtained her teaching certificate and masters in secondary training and development from Texas A & M University in Commerce, Texas, was the business education coordinator for Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Worth, Texas.  She has taught in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for fourteen years in public, private and home school groups.  Leanne has given various workshops on NetOp software, Creating a Typing Class, RenWeb software, etc.  She also worked as a customer service representative, secretary, and administrative assistant for major corporations for over ten years.  Leanne Beitel is listed in the Who’s Who of American Teachers, a member of TCEA, former sponsor of Business Professionals of America, Key Club, Calvary Academy Community Service Club and Kiwanis member.  She is happily married to her best friend, Curtis, for over twelve years and has one daughter.
