Christian Keyboarding

Hosted by Leanne Beitel

Welcome to Keyboarding for the Christian School and Home!

This is a typing forum for teachers and parents whereby we learn from each other what works and what doesn't when teaching proper touch typing and word processing using Office XP.  This is for Christian schools and homeschoolers.

This is the companion website for the textbook, Keyboarding for the Christian School.  Designed for students in middle school through high school with a Biblical perspective; lessons include typing drills, timings, letters, envelopes, APA and MLA reports (the ONLY book that features both), centering, and even proofreader's marks.  The textbook is brief--only 78 pages--to be used in conjunction with other curriculum or as a refresher and is available for purchase through
iUniverse,
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.

AVAILABLE NOW THROUGH THIS WEBSITE ONLY...
A printable e-book directly from the author is available for purchase through e-junkie (using PayPal or your credit card).  The e-book is about 2.3 MB in size.

review from Kate O'Mara at the Eclectic Homeschool Association  where the "students who recently began using Keyboarding for the Christian School reported that they enjoyed the first several lessons and were anxious to continue."

Phyllis Wheeler, "The Computer Lady" wrote a review on
homeschoolblogger.

Carrie Wilbur with Homeschool Magazine said that her 12-year-old liked the "readabilitity of the font and the actual text supplied for practice...appreciated the author's thoroughness in addressing useful and common correspondence format" found on

As a guest author for Lorraine Curry's book,

Question of the Week

Dear Readers,

Please email your questions to me and I will try to respond in a reasonable time.  The e-book I am selling is only available through me and has some minor revisions and is PRINTABLE!

If you want to know more about a relationship with Jesus Christ; please email me and I will be glad to share my testimony of how God can change lives.

Teaching Tip

Proper typing technique will ensure accuracy and speed.  Look for these things:  back straight, feet flat on floor, hands on homerow, eyes on the copy, etc.

To help with speed and accuracy; dictate song lyrics or Bible verses as your student types.  Then, check for accuracy and have your student make the appropriate corrections to help the learning process.
